I almost shied away from including these in my 5 Salty Essentials, purely because of the numerous mentions they have received already. Truth is, if these weren’t on the list I would be flat out lying. I’m yet to find a pair of shorts that matches the functionality and comfort that the crewman short offers. Without a doubt, if I am fishing, these are what I’m wearing.

The crewman shorts have been a part of our uniform aboard the Hauraki Express boats for a number of years now and the recent release cargo shorts are top-notch! The four-way stretch is ideal when jumping around the boat or for celebratory high kicks.
